about
The meaning of this track is basically how you can slowly fall into depression and it often starts as one thing that goes out of control. The chorus is inspired by the book 'The Virgins Suicides' as I feel the book is an accurate mirror of what I am expressing.
lyrics
If I could go back in time,
And get rid of all the pain,
I would,
But fate didn't deal those cards.
Old people slip away in their sleep,
But I'll slip away in the water,
Though I'm scared,
I won't stand here anymore.
You see I've tiptoed over the tracks,
But the ghosts are still out to get me,
So I sit,
Colouring reasons to live.
Ceceilia, when you jumped did you think you could fly?
Will you hold my hand, as I say my goodbye?
The sand, is washing over the sea.
The apes, are climbing down from the trees.
And this, is the happiest that I've ever been,
As I slip away from the inbetween.
On rainy day,
Everything starts to feel hopeless,
So we lost,
Ourselves inside the sheets.
But I read somewhere you can't fix yourself,
By breaking someone else.
